Hello,
I’m sorry if maybe this question could be too obvious for most of you but it isn’t for me. I downloaded some themes having dark background but I’m still not happy.
I don’t like the huge contrast between the basic html content (white) with the total (or almost) black backgrounds. So I tried to modify these themes but I couldn’t find the selector to set the html content (I’m talking about the pure text inside the html tags). I would like to have a pretty documentation about the the theme creation and selectors. I know there is one in github but still too complicated..

Hey there,

You can find documentation for syntax themes here:

http://wiki.macrabbit.com/index/SyntaxThemes/

Odds are good that you are looking for the @base selector, which controls the default color of text in a document (among other things).

Hello, thanks for the reply. I edited the @base section of the downloaded themes but NOTHING happens. I’m really wondering why. If I edit any other selector in the css document I do see changes but nothing for change the @base…

If you choose Help->Send Feedback in the application and send us your theme file and an example file we can test it and let you know what is going wrong.

Alternatively, if you post the code for the @base section of the theme you are editing here in the forum I might be able to spot what’s going wrong from that.
