I haven’t heard of anyone undertaking this, but that doesn’t mean no one is working on it.

Unless you want to undertake the project, my guess is we won’t see it until EE 2 starts being used more.  I know I still haven’t been able to recommend it to any clients yet thanks to the dearth of third party addons.

Anthony Short is the current developer of the EE1 Sugar: http://github.com/anthonyshort/expressionengine.sugar

So it would be logical to assume he will be the one upgrading that sugar to EE2. However, unsure of the time frame on this. I would think on the EE site their is a list of new tags, etc for EE2 and one could edit Anthony’s sugar by pasting in the new items in the correct location. Not sure if it would be that easier however, otherwise you think someone would have done it. Hopefully someone will!

Made some minor changes so it recognize the ExpressionEngine 2.x tags.

@R Gruyters

I uninstalled the Anthony’s sugar,  and installed yours (and restarted the program as it requested to activate) but no ExpressionEngine drop down appears in the main menu (as with anthony’s). Or typing in {exp:channel: for instance does not seem to offer any auto complete, or any syntax coloring, and such. Is there a special step to install yours I missing? Thank you in advance!

Sorry, but I have only changed the syntax for ExpressionEngine. I haven’t updated or worked on the Actions nor the auto-complete function.

Maybe when I can find the time I will try to dive into it.
